Course content description

Coction, a term of antiquity also referred to as decoction or alchemical cooking, has its roots in the Latin word coctio. The French word décoction, which is derived from the Old French decoccion, can be traced back to the Latin decoquō, stemming from coquō, which means simply to cook.

Coction is an expression embraced by the Alchemists to describe the pursuit of a superior, refined, or coveted state, achieved through either natural means or the influence of external elements, such as fire.

In the realm of alchemy, personal transformation via coction encompasses both internal and external facets of this intricate process. In contemporary contexts, coction examines the orchestration of genetic expression through the art of alchemical cooking. Within this paradigm, coction evolves beyond simple culinary preparation, emerging as a conduit for a holistic alchemical practice that engages with complex operations across physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions. Collectively, these components foster profound nourishment across various aspects of existence. This book scrutinizes the intricate nature of this alchemical culinary art.

The undeniable link between alchemical coction and the biochemistry of digestion can be seen as an early precursor of the emergence of the modern science of epigenetics. Both coction and epigenetics govern our perpetual evolution, resulting in a constant state of change. The continuous interplay between these two phenomena shapes our existence, manifesting in an everlasting process of transformation. Within the pages of this book on coction, we delve into the complexities and interrelationships between these two natural marvels.

The term Alchemy is frequently used as a loose catchphrase and applied to various contexts, often by individuals who are not well-versed in the true art and science of Alchemy as it is understood in the Western world. Alchemy has a long history spanning thousands of years, from ancient Pharaonic Egypt to the present day and the book you are reading right now. Alchemy is the art and science of transmutation, or transitioning from one state to another in a permanent manner.

Alchemy is no longer a mysterious practice confined to dimly lit, dusty laboratories, pursuing an arcane quest of transforming lead into gold. Instead, it becomes accessible through the light of your own creativity, whether it be in your kitchen or on your grill, and most importantly, in your life. Alchemy is a living and breathing, ever-evolving art, and the contents of this book will demonstrate this concept. As you delve deeper into the process of preparing and enjoying your creations, your understanding of the alchemical work will naturally grow and evolve.

This book of coction has been crafted for those who harbor an unwavering longing to actively engage in the pursuit of perpetual refinement and embark upon the transformative journey of self-actualization. For those who genuinely aspire to discover the intricacies of coction and effectively pursue the path of personal evolution, this presents an extraordinary opportunity to begin incorporating daily practice. The purpose of this writing is to humbly assist persons in their noble quest of self-discovery as they explore the Garden of Epicurean wonders.

Step into the realm of your own creative magic and embark on a journey of practical exploration. Give these ideas a whirl and pay attention to the feelings that arise as you create, share, and consume. Once you've experienced the magic firsthand, make it your own and evolve the process further with your signature. Let your creativity soar and leave your mark on the world.
